This shape is designed to be an efficient and functional performance quad shape specifically for average waves. The outline is fairly straight through the centre of the board. This helps the board keep speed in a straight line, and keeps more rail in the face of the wave through turns. The term “double bump” comes from the soft bumps/wings in the outline placed near the fins. These help to pull in the tail but do so with straighter lines rather than curves. This design feature counters the straightness through the centre of the board, in an effort to provide speed as well as manoeuvrability. The rear quad fins are placed closer to the centre, helping the board be more pivotal, rather than be more drawn out through turns. The bottom shape features a triplane entry with a single concave as the centre plane, to a single concave in the tail aligned with acceleration in the tail rocker.
