The bottom shape consists of a single concave entry to inverted panel V in the tail. This bottom shape straightens the centerline rocker curve for speed in a straight line but keeps more rail line rocker curves intact for manoeuvrability on rail and a shorter turning radius. The outline of the board is very parallel to the nose. This gives the board a tremendous amount of stability and control. I have also felt some benefits to this design feature in hollow waves when approached correctly. Most of the board’s outline curve is placed right in between your feet. This shape caters to a back-foot-oriented surfer.
